Philippines February 2010

The Lord moved powerfully when we went to the Philippines in February 2010! We got to see people healed right in front of our faces as the Lord touched those that came forward in the services.

Our first day there, we visited what was called “Tent City” (many hours from Manila, where we were staying). This was an area that housed hundreds of families, in tents, that had been displaced by the flooding in 2009. We spent the afternoon and evening there…

we gave away bags and bags of groceries after an outdoor service we put on for them. (Josiah and Aston sang together for the crowd that had gathered) and after they listened to all of us talk about Jesus, hundreds of them, mostly children, came forward to accept Jesus as their savior!

The next day we stayed in Manila. We did one outdoor service for the people living in the “ghetto” of the city… a place named “Tondo”, a place that the taxi drivers wouldn’t even take us into because they considered it so dangerous. (There are 8 million people living in Tondo, with only 200 pastors among them, trying to shepherd that entire area!)
After this outdoor, evening service, people came up in droves to accept Christ! Then they started reaching to us and showing us their injuries and diseases, asking for healing.

We actually had tumors going down under our hands! A man, who looked like he had been in a car accident (some kind of head trama with tumors) physically changed in front of us. An 8-year-old girl with lung problems began to breathe clearly. We saw a man’s back pain disappear (his pain was intense, the top 2/3rds of his back healed as we layed hands on him and prayed, his lower back healed/stopped hurting after Pastor Sun prayed a demon off of him). A woman, who had a tumor the size of a golf ball, below her jawline on her neck, had the tumor go down flat!!! Pastor Sun prayed over a baby that was sick with lukemia… His mother just happened to be at one of the schools we visited the next day, so we got to see him “well” the next day!

We did A LOT of praying while we were there, we prayed outloud together in the hotel, all 9 of us. We truly cried out to God for the City of Manila, for God to bring them revival and truly find God. We prayed and prayed for salvations and healings… God was listening to every word!!

The last day we were there (we were only there 3 days) we had a revival for the local pastors inside the biggest church there (comfortably fits 400 people). It is an upstairs room of a very small Christian School combined with a church. The head pastor was very discouraged about the thought of trying to bring a “revival” of any kind to the area, as he told us that they had seen no “movement” of the Holy Spirit in at least 8 years in Manila. (the Lord gave us the words and the prayers over him to refresh his spirit and get excited about the service for the pastors we were planning for the next night)… he still told us that we would have under 10 pastors show up… Well, we had almost 100 pastors come! They brought their wives and 2-3 people who volunteer at their tiny churches… we had 500 in that upstairs church! What a service! We recognized 3 pastors from the crowd at the outdoor healing service we had given the night before. As they had arrived at the church, one of them told us that he had brought 10 of his neighbors to that outdoor service, who didn’t attend his church, and they all got saved! Plus he heard them together in a group this moring singing songs from the service!)

The service that night was amazing as the entire room wound up on their knees as Pastor Sun brought God’s presence to a tired and discouraged group of people! The evening ended with all the lead pastors up front being annointed with oil … amazing night… they all kept asking us to “come back soon!”
